| JOB DESCRIPTION:
Client is one of the fastest growing companies in the United States. Corporate Real Estate Departments always has a need for qualified Real Estate Professionals to sustain expansion. The Real Estate Manager assits in the growth of Family Dollar through acquiring and leasing property for new Family Dollar stores based on a number of factors (e.g. demographics, competitors). Principal Duties and Responsibilities include: Achieve a number of profitable store openings; Coordinate with other departments to complete deals; Garner support of operations (District Managers) through communication and education on site specifications; Serve as the point person on deals (e.g. with landlord, legal, etc.) identifiying and dealing with potential obstrctions; Develop and maintain relationships with a number of parties (e.g. brokers, landlords, etc.); Develop knowledge of real estate market dynamics. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a minimum of 3 years professional real estate experience, preferable with a retailer and / or broker focused on retail clients. Experience negotiating retail store leases in a must. Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred. Position requires approximately 25 - 50% travel within the region.
