Education and experience requirements:
Four year college degree required, preferably with studies in Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent.
Requirements:
- 6 years experience working in an information technology department.
- 4 years experience supporting SQL Server database administration (50 GB minimum database)
- 4 years experience using Windows NT/2000, 2003 operating systems.
- 1 year experience working with project, MS Project or Niku (Project Workbench)
- Experience with structured change control.
Desired:
- 1 year experience supporting SQL Server clusters
- 1 TSQL coding experience
- 1 year using Active Directory
- 1 year experience using Tivoli Storage Manager
Responsibilities included ensuring that the objective of customer/supplier relationships are met or exceeded for all applications using a SQL Server Database. Install and maintain SQL Server and supporting systems that provide an environment conductive to customer productivity. Monitor use of the SQL Server databases and computer subsystems in order to forecast need for additional resources. Ensure backup and disaster recover are implemented and test and report all events and requirements through established reporting mechanisms.
